Welcome to Reception!

Every day is a new opportunity for discovery and growth in Reception. Engaging topics and interactive story sessions ignite imaginations and hands-on learning. 

Our team of dedicated staff create an inclusive environment where each child is encouraged to develop crucial social skills and essential academic foundations.  

Through our indoor and outdoor spaces, we aim to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love for learning.

We are always on hand at the end of the day to answer any questions too.

General Information - 

Our PE slot is on a Tuesday. Please leave PE kits in school as we do not always fully change, but find them especially useful when the children fall over in the wetter weather and need spare clothes or shoes. Children may bring wellies to keep at school. Please name everything!  

Remember, you can pre-order meals in advance with your child. We cannot see what they have ordered, so you might like to tell them in the mornings as they often ask. Children receive free fruit and can have milk too but carers / parents need to order this. Please send your child in with fresh water in a named flask / bottle. 

Keep an eye on Tapestry for details of some of our learning activities. Please add in any home events as we would love to see them and share them with the children. 

Please use the plastic Home-Learning wallets to keep our reading scheme books from being damaged in bags. Thank you.
