Despite the weather being cold and wet, 3 year 6 pupils attended a very moving remembrance ceremony at Westminster Abbey. They were there with representatives from other local schools to lay a wreath at the Innocent Victims Memorial which is a reminder of all the children who have suffered as a result of wars all over the world. After listening to the names of some of the children who have died in conflicts there was a minutes silence followed by the laying of the wreaths. Whilst the occasion was sombre and the weather was dreadful, the children enjoyed a day out in London and a tour of Westminster Abbey. They were a credit to the school and we hope that this can become a regular feature of our Remembrance activities.
